It's not a complete fix. My random reboot issue and that of a number others who submitted bug reports was a Sense Key : Hardware Error that for some reason kicked in after the Oreo update. I got an RMA, and my replacement phone arrives tomorrow. The only way you'll know whether this might be the problem is taking a bug report on your phone and attaching it to a post in the Google issue tracker thread.

I haven't had a random reboot since installing the update, although my reboots were (at least in part) due to a hardware error. I'm wondering if the update fixed whatever was causing the hardware error. I'd initiated an RMA and just received my replacement today. I think I might wait a few days and see what happens. I don't see any reason to switch to the replacement (it's a refurb) if the update has fixed the problem . . . .

According to what I read it was supposed to fix both restart problems.

I got the update when I asked for it. I have a Pixel and have never had a reboot problem.

Knock on wood. I have not had the Bluetooth issues since the October update. Battery life is much improved. Have an app or two that aren't happy with it.

Received update today and have not had a reboot issue with Oreo, However I have been wondering how the updates were going to work since I bolted from Verizon (Pixel XL) to T-Mobile last month and it is pulling the non Verizon updates.

Just sideload the OTA. That is what I had to do. The downloaded OTA crashed and wouldn't install. It's very simple. Here's the instructions.

Anybody on Verizon still waiting for the update? I'd consider trying to sideload the OTA, but ever since Oreo, I haven't been able to connect my Pixel XL to my computer.

Well the bluetooth problems have returned. So October did not fix it. It has fixed the reboot problems. Shame they can't fix the BT problems. Starting to believe Google doesn't understand bluetooth.

Hey Matty
Not surprised. The OG Pixel has inherent BT issues. Although some owners don't experience these issues, so many of us do - and it hasn't abated one bit for us. Don't look for a security patch to fix this problem.
